The youth choir was founded in September 2022 on the initiative of Claude Brendel, a music teacher and choirmaster. It includes 70 pupils from years 6 to 9 with a passion for choral singing. Whether for a specific project or an occasional performance, the choir regularly takes to the stage, including at the MuTh in April 2023 for the Vienna Youth Singing Festival (Wiener Jugendsingen) and at the Konzerthaus in May 2024 with the University of Vienna Philharmonic. The choir pays particular attention to its choice of repertoire, in order to cover a wide range of musical periods, aesthetics and cultures, and to the form of the concert itself, avoiding conventional rituals.
