The Choral Society “Jung Wien” was founded in 1946 by Prof. Leo Lehner. In a city devastated by war, the choir was formed in the hope of creating a new, young Vienna. Its most notable concerts to date have taken place in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein and in the Wiener Konzerthaus. The ensemble has toured Europe, Israel, Canada, Asia and the USA, and boasts a repertoire including sacred and secular works from all eras up to the modern day. Nevertheless, the choir’s core repertoire is made up of works from the Viennese waltz and operetta era. The choir is led by Robert Feichtinger.
