Founded in 1959 as the “Tatabányai Bányász Vegyeskar” (Mixed “Mining” Choir of Tatabánya), it changed to its current name in 1994. Its repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the 20th and 21st centuries. The choir performs 10 to 15 times a year, delighting with both short a cappella pieces and longer cyclical works. It was awarded the “For the Culture of the City of Tatabánya” prize in 2016, the “Festival Choir” designation in 2017, and has also received several Golden Diplomas.
